REFERENCE!!!!
A number of you have forgotten what I spent the first few lessons of the course explaining!! Referencing!!
At present most of you are guilty of plagiarism or "academic theft". The notion of taking someones ideas/work and claiming it as your own. In fairness most of you are doing this unintentionally so I will let you off! But be warned you can be removed from the course for plagiarism.
A recap if taking from a text book (which is the best source) you paraphrase and do not copy the text word for word. You credit the author/s by putting the surname and date into the text. e.g
Blood contains antibodies and white blood cells which help defend against viruses and infections. Adams, Barker, Gledhill, Lydon, Mulligan, Phillippo, Sutton (2010).
If the book only had one author it would simply be Adams (2010).
If you use the same book for another reference then you do not need to type all of the authors out again you simply put Adams et al (2010)
If you take a picture from a site or info do not cut and paste text!! Paraphrase and then include the link (copy and paste from the address bar! http://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=5398826979657169851
