Year 12 Unit 1 - Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport

Unit 1 Assignment 2:
This Assignment Covers Grading Criteria P3
  • Post to your blog a picture or series of pictures that IDENTIFY the major muscle groups in the human body.
  • For each muscle group produce a table that IDENTIFIES a weight training movement that targets that muscle group. e.g

Grading Tips:
Make sure you identify the location of the biceps, triceps, deltoids, pectorals, rectus abdominus, quadriceps, hamstrings, gastronemius, soleus, tibialis anterior, erector spinae, teres major, trapezius, lattisimus dorsi, obliques and gluteus maximus.

Year 10 Level 2 Unit 1 Fitness Test & Training

Assignment 2

This assignment covers grading criteria M1

EXPLAIN the fitness requirements for two different posiitons in a sport of your choice.  This could be a goalkeeper and a striker in football, a centre and a goal shooter in netball or a prop and wing in rugby.  In your explanation consider any similarities or differences that may exist between the positions and EXPLAIN why giving sporting examples where possible. M1

Grading Tips:

A goalkeepers workload could be considered less that outfield players as they do not have the same demands in terms of endurance, but they still require similar fitness components in order to perform well.
Consider the physical demands and also the skill related demands in your explanation.

2)     DESCRIBE 3 different training methods that could be used to achieve excellence in your chosen sport. P2
